Frequently Asked Questions
 What is PPF filler?
Our PPF (prepolymerized filler) is a proprietary blend of low-shrinkage resin, barium glass and 0.02 micron filler.
This combination results in decreased shrinkage and optimal handling for a truly unique material that stands alone as an
industry leader.
 What is trimodal technology?
Trimodal technology is comprised of Kerr proprietary PPF filler (see FAQ #1), Point 4 filler, and 0.02
micron filler. The combination of these three (TRImodal) fillers is unique to the industry. No other material on the market
has this combination of truly unique fillers to create a superior product like Premise.
What are the benefits of trimodal technology?
The combination of these three fillers creates a platform that consists of an ultra-low shrinkage
material at 1.6%. Due to the Point 4 filler, you'll experience the clinically proven polish and durability that made Point 4
famous. And with PPF, you will feel confident knowing you're using a material for posterior restorations that is highly filled
at 84%.
What is the difference between Premise and Premise Packable?
Premise Packable is slightly altered to a thicker consistency, like the feel of a condensing alloy.
