For those practitioners who are looking to simplify their posterior composite procedures with the added advantage of amalgam-like packability and bulk cure, Prodigy Condensable™ packable composite is the perfect choice. With a shrinkage value of only 1.8%, you can cure in 5mm increments. Prodigy Condensable utilizes the same filler size and particle distribution as Prodigy and Herculite, but is more highly loaded. Thixotropic rheological agents added to the resin allow the filler particles to occupy their space more efficiently, effecting an 80% filler loading that greatly reduces polymerization shrinkage. Kerr has found a way to incorporate true packability without having to resort to unproven fillers so you no longer need to sacrifice esthetics to get the handling you want in a condensable.
