Demi Curing Light Makes Its Debut - June 2007

ORANGE, CA - Kerr is proud to introduce Demi™ LED Light Curing System, the new wand-style, ergonomic LED curing light from Demetron with breakthrough Periodic Level Shifting (PLS) technology that delivers a true 5-second cure for universal composite shades A3 and lighter. With PLS, Demi pulses from an impressive baseline output of 1,100 mW/cm2 to a peak of 1,330 mW/cm2 for ¼ second of each 1-second exposure.

"Industry anticipation is building because Demi is setting a new standard with its ergonomic, lightweight compact body style and extended-life lithium-ion battery," said Kerr Product Manager Brandy Lewis.

Additional Demi features include multiple time settings, timer mode recall, an 8-minute sleep mode, and a low battery indicator. The unit includes an interchangeable Lithium-Ion battery and charger that can charge two batteries simultaneously. As with all Demetron lights, a whisper-quiet fan prevents the unit from overheating and extends the overall life of the LEDs.

All Demetron light guides are compatible with the new Demi. The full range of Demetron units, replacement parts and accessories are available from Kerr dental distributors. Demi will be available for shipping in July 2007. Demi is pending 510k Clearance. This product will be offered for sale after Kerr receives FDA market clearance.
