It will serve as the premier document for dental offices throughout the country to comply with the new EPA rule on amalgam recycling as well as a range of best management practices for the dental profession.

The EPA rule (RIN: 2024-AF26) currently states that the final rule is scheduled to be issued in June 2016. Dental offices have 90 days following the final rule’s publication to submit various information on their environmental practices to the enforcement parties. This book will serves as a time-saving tool to walk dental offices through compliance requirements. As a further incentive for utilizing the book as a guide, 8 CE credits will be available for the book in October 2015.

“We envision this tool as a must-have for every dental office in the country as clinicians seek to navigate the pending and future environmental regulations that will face the dental profession,” said Marc M. Sussman, DRNA President and CEO. “We are thankful to Kerr for its forward-thinking leadership and commitment to the environment, making this educational grant available to brings this invaluable tool to the dental community.”

“Kerr is highly committed to the environment and pleased to partner with DRNA to see that the environmental aspects of amalgam are addressed in the most satisfactory manner,” said Damien McDonald, Group President for Kerr Corporation. “Given the upcoming EPA federal rule on amalgam recycling, we are keen to do our part to educate the dental profession on the best solutions in place to address this important environmental compliance issue.”
