The Case:

The patient came in with discomfort on tooth #19. The diagnosis was a necrotic pulp with acute apical periodontitis.
The 2D image was taken with DEXIS. A LFOV 3D CBCT was taken. There was a large lesion into the furcation and at the
apex.

My “5” STEP Endodontic Protocol on This Case:
1. Irrigation with my all-in-one irrigation solution.
2. Getting to working length with the Apex Connect, cleaning using 6%
sodium hydrochlorite solution using crown down. Then shaped with
my ZenFlex™ files and cordless handpiece.
3. Used Ultrasonic Agitation with one minute per canal with 6%sodium
hydrochlorite and a EDTA / CHX mix before cone fit and fill.
4. Lightly Dried With paper points (NOT bone dry because BC sealer may
not set up properly.)
5. Obturation With ZenSeal™ Bioceramic Sealer and single cone gutta
percha. Then used the elements™ IC Downpack for sear-off with
elements IC heat carrier and backfill. *Notice No Lateral Canals Were
popped on this case**

The patient returned asymptomatic with remarkable healing and osseous repair even in the furcation within 6 months!
